Large homes need a different class of roofer

A 4,000+ square-foot home doesn’t have a simple roof. Steep pitches, multiple ridge lines, tile and metal systems, HOA architectural standards — estate roofs are a different job, and we treat them that way.

We serve Barton Creek, Rollingwood, Travis Country, Circle C Ranch, Shady Hollow Estates, Belterra, and the estates along Southwest Parkway and 290 West.

Luxury estate home in Southwest Austin

Premium systems we install and repair

Standing-seam metal

Clean lines, 50+ year lifespan, superior hail resistance.

Clay & concrete tile

Repair, restoration, full replacement — including matching discontinued profiles.

Class 4 impact shingles

Engineered for Texas hail; many insurers discount premiums for them — real money on a large policy.

Designer shingles

The high-end look without the tile price tag.

Higher-value roof, higher-stakes claim

On an estate home, the gap between a poorly documented claim and a properly documented one can be tens of thousands of dollars. We document every detail, meet the adjuster on your roof, and turn denials around when insurers say no.

Background-checked crews, landscaping and pool protection, magnetic nail sweeps, discreet scheduling. 5.0 stars on Google.

Choosing a premium roof system: metal, tile, or Class 4

On a large home, the roof is a major architectural element and a six-figure asset protector. The right system depends on your home’s structure, your HOA’s standards, and how long you plan to stay. Here’s the honest comparison we walk estate homeowners through.

Standing-seam metal: the 50-year decision

Concealed-fastener metal roofs shed hail, reflect Texas sun (real cooling savings), and outlast two or three shingle roofs — 50+ years is normal. They cost more up front, but on a long-horizon home the math usually wins, and the clean lines suit modern and hill-country architecture alike. The blue standing-seam roof pictured above is our work.

Tile: beauty with structural homework

Clay and concrete tile are the signature look of many Barton Creek and Spanish Oaks homes — essentially lifetime materials with one catch: weight. Tile runs 6–11 pounds per square foot versus 2–3 for shingles, so the structure must be verified before any conversion. We also repair and match existing tile, including hunting down discontinued profiles after hail or foot-traffic damage — often the hardest part of a tile claim.

Class 4 shingles: the insurance play

Impact-rated (UL 2218 Class 4) shingles look like premium architectural shingles but shrug off hail that destroys standard ones. Because of that, many Texas insurers offer meaningful premium discounts for them — on a large home’s policy, that discount compounds year after year, and several of our clients have had the upgrade effectively pay for itself. Ask us to run the comparison for your home.

The claim stakes are higher up here

When hail hits a 6,000-square-foot tile or metal roof, the difference between a lazy claim and a properly documented one can be tens of thousands of dollars — matching requirements, code items, and specialty materials all belong in the scope. We document to that standard, meet the adjuster on your roof, and reverse denials when insurers get it wrong.
